Improved pavement conditions, enhanced safety, bicycle and pedestrian mobility, improved traffic flow, and support of economic growth and revitalization - just a few of the benefits the Cedar Falls community will experience with the reconstruction of Main Street between Seerley Boulevard and 6th Street. The project will include new pavement, on-street bike lanes, sidewalks, lighting and landscaping, as well as upgrades to aging underground utilities (storm sewer, sanitary sewer and water main). All this, while maintaining traffic and access to businesses throughout construction.
During the design process, our team will keep the public informed through a variety of engagement activities. With design anticipated to be complete in Summer of 2022 and construction scheduled to begin in Spring of 2023, updates, videos, concepts, FAQs, and more will be shared throughout the project’s life cycle.
